The Light Gallery

The Light Gallery has played an important role in fostering cross-cultural dialogue and introducing Latin American artists to new global audiences and collectors. Its curatorial programme is driven by a commitment to exploring the relationships between image, cultural identity, and space, while continually expanding the visibility and appreciation of contemporary Latin American art.
Today, The Light Gallery operates between Medellín and London, alongside an active presence at international art fairs and temporary exhibitions across Colombia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The gallery is directed by Luz María Osorio who holds a degree in Fine Arts and a Master’s in Museology. With five years of experience at Christie’s in London , she brings valuable insight into the global art market. Luz is also a professor at the Colombian University of Antioquia (U.deA.), where she lectures on photography and the art market. In addition to her roles as gallery director and academic, she regularly delivers public talks and lectures internationally.
