Salón Silicón is a gallery dedicated to supporting women, queer, and LGBTQ+ artists. Founded in 2017, it has become an active part of Mexico City’s contemporary art scene, serving as a space for dialogue, collaboration, and experimentation.Over the years, the gallery has presented more than seventy exhibitions, with a particular focus on expanding conversations around desire, identity, and representation.
Salón Silicón has fostered a dynamic community of artists, including Sandra Blow, Alan Hernández, Romeo Gómez López, Sofía Hinojosa, Santiago Mora, Betty Árbol, Daniela de la Torre, and Karl Frias, among many others. The gallery understands artistic practice as a shared commitment to critical discourse, experimentation, and collective growth.Salón Silicón has participated in leading art fairs such as Zona Maco, Salón Acme, Material Art Fair (Mexico), Ch.ACO (Chile) , and ARCO Lisboa (Portugal).
